Mr. Bourbin is an associate in the litigation department where he specializes in handling commercial litigation disputes. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Bourbin was an associate at major law firm, where he represented clients in a broad range of civil litigation, including bankruptcy matters, securities litigation, and professional malpractice cases. Mr. Bourbin later worked in the general counsel's office of a large international insurance carrier, at which he represented the company in coverage actions brought by insureds under commercial general liability, homeowner's, umbrella, and excess insurance policies, and in actions for declaratory relief between insurance companies seeking contribution and/or indemnification arising from construction defect, personal injury, and environmental pollution claims.

Mr. Bourbin has extensive pre-trial experience in both state and federal courts, and has represented clients in both bench and jury trials, as well as in mediation and arbitration.

Before attending law school, Mr. Bourbin was an officer at a commercial bank in New York City, where he was responsible for, among other things, maintaining the Bank's compliance with state and federal laws governing employee compensation and retirement, including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) and the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA).
